Inauguration of Chemistry Association (2017-18) and Observance of International Ozone day-2017 was held on 14.09.2017 at 10.00 am in the Audio Visual Hall. The focal theme of programme was – Preserve the Ozone Layer, Protect the global Climate System “Caring for all life under the sun” The event was conducted with the support of Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE).
Dr. Latha M.S (Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Chemistry S.N. College, Chengannur inaugurated the programme and delivered a presentation on the topic: Ozone layer Protection -Achievements and Challenges. Dr. P Geetha , HOD, Dept of Chemistry, DB Pampa college delivered the welcome speech, Dr. S.Joy, Principal, D B Pampa College presided over the meeting. Prof. Arun.R, (IQAC Co-ordinator, and HOD, Dept. of English) , Prof. N. Devaduth (HOD, Dept of Mathematics, Dr. Sheeja.P (Staff Council Secretary, Dept. of Physics) felicitate the meeting. And the Vote of thanks was given by K S Harikrishnan, Secretary, Chemistry Association.
There was a competition segment for the students in the after noon.
