Observance of World Forestry Day- 2018 by the Bhoomithra Sena Club & Department of Zoology on 19th March 2018.The programme was financially supported by Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Govt.of Kerala.The inaugural ceremony began with prayer at 10 am. Dr. S. Joy, Principal, presided over the meeting. Dr. S. Sreekala, Head of the Department of Zoology welcomed the gathering. Mr. Renjan Mathew Varghese, State Director, WWF- India was the chief guest of the day and inaugurated the programme. Prof. R. Arun (IQAC Co-ordinator & Head of the Department of English) and Ms. Vidya P. Pillai ( Guest Lecturer, Department of Zoology ) offered felicitations. The inaugural session came to an end at 11.00 am with the vote of thanks by Dr. Vani S.(Programme Convenor).The inaugural ceremony was followed by a Semin
ar entitled “Forests: Primarily for Wildlife, Then for People”, by Mr. Renjan Mathew Varghese, State Director, WWF- India . A Wildlife Photo Exhibition and various Competitions for the students of the college were also conducted.
